Some bullet points from George on the win
– Poor weather! Lots of handling errors from both sides– We had massive dominance in scrum with no fewer than 14 scrum penalties (the final one finally resulting in a yellow for the opposition)– We went 5-0 up after a lovely kick through by Grant that Christian Prince dropped on to score– 10-0 to Longton after a driving maul with me scoring– Tamworth got a penalty just before half time–– After half time we made life difficult for ourselves failing to exit on multiple occasions resulting in a scrappy try for Tamworth after a handling error by us in own 22– 10-10– We had a lot of pressure scrum after scum in their half eventually getting a penalty that Grant converted making final score 13-10– Not pretty but very happy to win on the road!
