Longton RUFC – Mini / Junior Section

Role Description


Primary Function

  • Responsibility for the management of the mini junior sections accounts and its financial dealings.

Secondary Function

  • To be a member of the Mini / Junior Section Committee


  • Look after the finances of the Mini / Junior section
  • Be fully aware of the financial position of the Mini / Junior section at all times and keep the committee informed of all financial trends and areas of concern
  • Promptly deposit all monies received
  • Be responsible for ensuring that adequate records are kept regarding the Mini / Junior Sections financial transactions
  • Manage the Mini Junior Sections cash flow and maintain a working level of petty cash
  • Prepare and present accounts for the VAT quarter and end of year financial report and audit. This is to the committee and the main club Treasurer
  • Financial planning, including producing an annual budget and monitoring it throughout the year
  • Maintain bank mandate
  • Liaise with the Membership Secretary providing information on annual subs payments
  • Liaise with the Merchandising Officer providing information on payments for merchandise

The treasurer can authorise expenditure up to £250 without agreement of the committee (agreed 06-05-18)
